Electrolux this week donated $1 million of kitchen disposals to help nonprofits address housing as communities across the country grapple with affordable solutions and increased housing needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. A portion of the company’s donation will go to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, helping generate funds for the national nonprofit’s low-income homebuilding programs. Electrolux is also teaming up with The Housing Partnership to provide disposals across the non-profit’s affordable housing communities.

“Our company’s purpose is to shape living for the better. Having a disposal in your home makes cooking and clean-up easier, more sustainable, and much more convenient,” said Electrolux North American Head Nolan Pike. “It’s great to upgrade affordable housing during a time when the need for accessible options continues to rise.”
